Fuel up for the day’s adventures with coffee and pastries from the Canyon Coffee Co. You can dine in at their seating areas or take your breakfast to-go if you’re in a hurry to get to your next stop.

After breakfast, head a few doors down the street to the Redbank Valley Historical Society and tour their exhibits to learn more about the rich history and culture of the Redbank Valley area. Once you’re done exploring the museum, you can walk down to The Gallery at New Bethlehem Town Center to browse their local art exhibits.

Afternoon

Grab lunch at one of the nearby eateries, like Evermoore Restaurant, before hitting the Redbank Valley Trail for some light hiking or bicycling.

The Redbank Valley Trail spans over 51 miles in total and cuts through the center of town. If you go west, you’ll meet up with the Redbank Creek just outside of town and have an unfettered view of the water for several miles– perfect for a quick cast with your fishing rod.

If you follow the trail to the east, you’ll have access to some great lunch spots, as well as some fast food options like Burger King and Subway. This side of the trail opens up to swaths of forests outside of town, immersing you in nature all the way to Brookville, PA.

Afternoon

Head to Gumtown Park to join in the excitement of this year’s Peanut Butter Festival! On a normal day, the park is a peaceful spot for picnics, fishing, or kayaking along the Redbank Creek. During the festival, it transforms into a lively hub of activity and community spirit.

Spend the afternoon browsing vendor stalls filled with handmade crafts and local specialties, or sample peanut butter-themed treats. And be sure to grab a good spot along the parade route to catch the annual Peanut Butter Festival Parade mid-afternoon.

Evening

Wrap up your weekend with dinner at a local restaurant you haven’t tried yet, or stop by one of the many food stalls at the festival.
