Water Workshop hosted by the Clarion Conservation District

Join the Clarion Conservation District (CCD), PA American Water, Iron Furnace Chapter #288 of Trout Unlimited, National Trout Unlimited, Mill Creek Coalition (MCC), Watershed Association of Lower Clarion (WALC), Pennsylvania Sea Grant, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy (WPC), and the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission (PFBC) for a workshop of hands-on activities covering topics such as water quality and how to assess a stream physically, chemically, and biologically; stream restoration; nonpoint source pollution; fish identification; aquatic invasive species and ways to prevent their spread; abandoned mine drainage (AMD); updates on the work that is being done in Clarion County’s watersheds; an overview on what CCD does and the programs we have that help protect our water resources; an overview on local watershed organizations and how to get involved; and water conservation practices. A free tour of the PA American Water plant will be offered as well as free bus transportation.

Directed towards 18+ years old, but ages 10+ are encouraged to attend as well!
