Lumber Heritage WoodFest
March 20-22nd, 2026 | 3-7pm, 10-6pm, 11-4pm

Clarion County boasts a number of woodcarving events throughout the year, including Lumber Heritage WoodFest. Historic sawmills, manmade dams, and other artifacts across the county are reminders of northwestern Pennsylvania’s longtime roots in the lumber industry; this event celebrates its legacy.
Held at the Clarion Mall each spring, experience the forestry industry up close with woodcarving demos, their interactive WoodMobile, shop from a number of talented artisans, enjoy live music, and keep the kiddies busy by stopping by the KidsZone.

Eagle Watch
March 28th, 2026 | 8:30 to 12:30 pm
Location: Cook Forest State Park Office, Cooksburg, PA
Cost: Free
For both the birding enthusiast and newcomer, join DCNR on their annual Eagle Watch. Don cold weather gear and your go-to viewing equipment on this expert-led tour across Cook Forest State Park as you search for bald eagles. Expect a decent amount of hiking, including some driving. Warm up afterwards with hot chocolate and coffee at the Park Office. The event is free, so be sure to sign up soon!

Appalachian Mountain STOL

This national aviation event is coming back to the Clarion County Airport for its third consecutive year. Witness a variety of pilots compete for the best time to takeoff and land, enjoy food vendors, and bring your kids to participate in the paper airplane competition.

12th Annual Cheers, Beers, & Wine Walk
May 8, 2026 | 5-8 pm
Location: Main Street, Clarion, PA
Cost: Advance tickets are $25 or an additional $5 at the door. The early bird admission special, starting at 4pm for early entry, will be $30.
In its twelfth year, over twenty brewers and winemakers from the region flock to Main Street Clarion to showcase their beer and wine samples. This outdoor event livens Main Street with spirits in more than one way!

Fryburg MayFest

To mark the end of spring and the start of summer, MayFest occurs over Memorial Day weekend. Cherish small town America up close and personal through this celebration of all things Americana. Squeezed into two days, a parade, fireworks, 5k, historic church tours, and outdoor movie nights will keep you and your family occupied. Not to mention, the Mayfest Motor Mayhem car show, which features cars, motorcycles, tractors, and other larger-than-life vehicles.
