The cottage is about one-half mile from the State Game Lands, one mile from Mill Creek, about 5 miles from the Clarion River, and also about 5 miles from the State Forest. Mill Creek is stocked in trout season. The State Game Lands and the State Forest are available for all types of hunting. Fishing, swimming, canoeing, and kayaking are available on the Clarion River with various canoe launches.
