For Both Fans & Families
National STOL events aim to be a family friendly day out at the airport for both airplane enthusiasts and those new to general aviation!
Be sure to check the weather and plan accordingly with hats, sunblock, jackets, or rain gear as necessary. Food trucks will be available, or you are welcome to bring small coolers. Camping chairs are encouraged!
What to Expect
If you are a seasoned pilot or a family looking for a unique weekend outing, here is what you can look forward to at the Clarion County Airport:
STOL Competition: Watch high-performance bush planes compete to see who can take off and land in the shortest distance.
- Airport Camping: Spend the weekend right at the airfield! We have space for airplanes, tents, and RVs (primitive camping).
- Food & Local Flavor: Enjoy a variety of local food trucks parked right by the taxiway.
- Meet the Pilots: Get an up-close look at these incredible aircraft and chat with the aviators during the “pavement party.”
Pro-Tip: Bring your own camping chairs and a pair of binoculars for the best view of the competition line!
