North Country Trail: Highland Drive to Sarvey Mill Road

This section of the North Country Trail starts at the Highland Drive trailhead and ends at the Sarvey Mill Road trailhead. From the Highland Drive trailhead, there is a 7/10 of a mile of road to walk to the end of Highland Drive. It might be wise to use the parking available where Highland Drive meets Miola Road (N41° 18.454 W079° 17.604). At the end of Highland Drive, the trail crosses Miola Road and heads through an area that was once strip mined and replanted with conifers. The trail then heads towards Sawmill Road. Upon reaching Sawmill Road (N41° 18.592 W079° 17.961), turn left and follow the road for about 800 feet. The trail heads back into the woods on the right-hand side of the road (N41° 18.466 W079° 18.016). The trail heads towards Toby Creek and then the trailhead at Sarvey Mill Road.
