Armstrong Trail Allegheny River Lands
The Armstrong Trail, managed by the Armstrong Trails Inc. organization, is a 52.5 mile rails-to-trails corridor. Users can bike or hike the trail continuously from East Brady, PA to Schenley, PA. 5 miles of the 52.5 mile long trail will be accessible once the Brady Tunnel rehab project is completed late in 2024. The trail is part of the ever developing Erie to Pittsburgh Trail. The Armstrong Trail also connects to the Redbank Valley Trail which provides another 51 miles of trail, including a 9 mile spur to Sligo PA. The trail runs from the mouth of Redbank Creek through New Bethlehem PA to Brookville, PA.
The Armstrong Trail takes you on a scenic journey along the banks of the Allegheny River where you can experience some still standing artifacts of the former PPR Railroad.
