SUMMARY:Peirce Planetarium: Dawn of Astronomy
DESCRIPTION:Dawn of Astronomy is a 45-minute show that traces the beginnings of astronomy in ancient Egypt and Britain. We will journey to the Pyramids of Egypt\, the crumbling ziggurats of Babylon\, and the mysterious Stonehenge. This show is free and open to everyone. \nPennWest Clarion’s Peirce Planetarium offers you a glimpse of the stars and planets of the night sky. The planetarium can be used to show the night sky as it would appear at any point in time\, past or present\, as it would appear from any point on Earth. \nThe planetarium is handicapped-accessible. Parking is available in Lot 12\, behind Marwick-Boyd\, and Lot 11\, across from Tippin Gymnasium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. For information\, call 814-393-2085.
